Latest LPRCM NEWS

We had a great meeting at Mary Lou Olson's on April 14th. Got a lot more items cleaned out of their garage and Mary Lou is very appreciative of our efforts in this regard.

We also planned for a Cross Country event for the second Sunday of June (June 14th).
We meet on the highway about 2 miles past LeChee and fly 5 miles, land and takeoff, fly to the end of the pavement, land and take off, fly back 5 miles, land and take off and fly the last 5 miles back to the start. You take a poker card at each take off and the last landing and the winners are decided by a poker hand. We need not only willing pilots but open vehicles that can carry a pilot, driver and spotter. Vehicle speed must be maintained at 55mph so you have to learn to hold your plane back by circling, etc.

We also want to start thinking about the 4th of July. It is a great opportunity to show off our planes in the parade and park.

We have several new members as well. It is looking to be a very good year.
