Reports
Treasurer: Tom Zwack: $4576.92 last statement balance.  Memberships collected from Bob King and Kipp Janes
Safety Officer: Bob Hartzell: Bob thanked Art and Jon for flying at the Fun Fly.  Thanks to Tom Z. for the grill, Pam and Becky for goodies.  There was concern about children too close to the planes on the runway.  We may need to tape off areas at the next event.  We may need signs  “Pilots Only in This Area.”  Judy will edit the membership form from the website and send to Tom Z., Bob H. and Pam.  When membership form is done, Bob will put copies in the log book box at the field.
                Vice President: Tom Morony: None
President: Pam Brown:  Next event the club should pay for the meat and ask everyone to furnish side dishes.  Bob H. and Tom Z. did a great job of striping the airfield.
Old Business
May 3 Flying Event and Barbecue: Bob H. was complimented on arranging the great weather for the Fun Fly.  Event was successful.
Bylaws Update: Judy Kitson distributed copies of the bylaws for revision.  Proposed bylaw changes will be sent before next meeting.  Email your ideas to Pam.
Consider and Vote on Bylaws at June Meeting.

New Business
Field Improvements: Motion by Jon, second by Bob H., passed to reimburse Tom Z. for the purchase of 2 gates and necessary hardware for the pit area off the long fences.  Jon has secured from NGS a donation of pond liner 120’x45’ to cover pit area.  Tom will price washers and spikes to secure liner to the ground.  We may be able to order clay dirt from Western Rock with the Gun Club to fill the pit area.  Then we’ll need to level the dirt, apply water, and use a tamper machine before spiking down the pond liner.  We will ask Joe if we can use his dad’s flatbed trailer to transport pond liner.  We’ll need to let Jim know far in advance if we need him to use equipment to level the dirt.  We’ll also need to pay for his fuel.

Items for Next Meeting Agenda: Consider and Vote on Bylaws, Membership Application, Aviation Education topics, start planning next event.

Adjournment: Motion by Becky, second by Bob, passed to adjourn at 8:05.
Next meeting June 10, 7 PM at Pam’s house, 585 Pinto Road
